This is a great dish to hide extra veggies for your family. An added benefit is there is no added salt!
Ingredients:
(In one pot)
Sauté one chopped medium onion in oil
Add in one head of chopped romaine lettuce
Add a handful of diced cherub tomatoes
½ tsp basil
½ tsp parsley
¼ tsp oregano
⅛ tsp black pepper
½ tsp garlic powder
1 pound ground turkey
(Then in a larger separate pot)
Boil pot sized spaghetti separately according to box directions
Add your sautéed ingredients to your cooked spaghetti
Add 24 oz jar of your favorite spaghetti sauce
Add 2 heaping tablespoons of Parmesan cheese
Add 8oz of Reduced Fat Sharp Cheddar Cheese
Mix everything together and enjoy!
***Feel free to add additional veggies like mushrooms or bell peppers when sautéing.
What I love about this recipe is how much nutritional value there is with all that lettuce or whichever vegetables you choose to use. It’s like throwing your salad straight into your spaghetti. It got me thinking that when you eat this meal, you can have it all!
In this life, is it possible to have it all? My answer is when I have Jesus, I have everything I truly need. Meditate on the following Scriptures:
Psalm 23:1 says, “The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not be in want.”
Psalm 84:11b says, “No good thing does he withhold from those whose walk is blameless.”
Matthew 5:6 says, “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.”
Philippians 4:19 says, “And my God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus.”
With Christ I have everything that’s truly worth having. In Christ, I really have it all. There is no lack with my God. Jesus provides forgiveness for all sin, peace with God, strength for today, hope for tomorrow and new mercies for each morning. Our God is capable of providing healing for any sickness, and deliverance from any bondage. Go to Him in prayer. So much is waiting for you.
