When I think of Valentine’s Day, I think of a cartoon character pulling away at the petals of a flower saying, “He loves me. He loves me not. He loves me. He loves me not.” Well, I’ve got news for you. Read this slowly…
“He loves me. He loves me. He loves me. He loves me.” Jesus loves me. Jesus loves me Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. His love for me continues. He doesn’t stop loving me. And Jesus’ love is there for you too. Read this slowly…
“He loves you. He loves you. He loves you. He loves you.” Embrace this precious, life-changing truth. Jesus, the pure Son of God loves you. He thinks you and I were worth Him going to the cruel cross for. He doesn’t ever want us to miss Heaven. So, Jesus made a way for us to join Him. Jesus took our sins…all of our shameful, wicked sins upon that rugged cross. Who else would have died for us? Who else would have taken our place? No one. But Jesus did. Oh, there is no greater truth than that Jesus loves us.
More than a dozen red roses. More than balloons. More than chocolates. More than fragrant perfumes. More than fancy firs. More than lovely poetry. More than a romantic dinner. More than jewelry. More than stuffed teddy bears. More than expensive reservations. More than books. More than a weekend getaway. More than a day at the spa. More than whatever this world could offer…we have the MOST BEAUTIFUL GIFT…JESUS LOVES US!
You might be single. But you are not alone. Not now. Not ever. Jesus loves you.
You are loved. Jesus knew you and He loved you. Jesus knew how you would have good days and bad days. And Jesus still loved you. Jesus knew what would make you happy and what has made you angry. And Jesus loves you. His heart is for you. His heart is for this dying world who needs to know of Jesus’ love.
Jesus’ love is not like the love of some who have grown cold. Jesus is not like the father who left home. Jesus is not like the spouse who neglected the family. Jesus is not like the spouse who turned away from his/her first love. Jesus’ love is real. Jesus’ love is eternal. Jesus’ love is dependable. Jesus’ love is there for you right now. Jesus is with you NOW. Call out to Jesus. He will hear you and help you.
What is your need?
What is your prayer request?
What is hurting you?
What are your questions?
What is your addiction?
What are your weaknesses?
Talk to the Lord. He loves you. He loves you. He loves you. He loves you.
Your life matters. You were created to have a relationship with this precious Jesus. Jesus wants you to spend time with Him. Read your Bible. Read His love letter to you. What awesome, life-changing truths you will read. Those words will wash over your soul giving you peace, guidance and assurance. Talk to Jesus in prayer. Be still before Him and hear His still small voice. See His glory in creation. See how Jesus has tried to get your attention again and again. The Lord put people in your life. The Lord worked certain circumstances in certain ways to grab hold of your attention. It’s like He has been pursuing you with His love.
Hosea 2:19-20 says, “I will betroth you to me forever; I will betroth you in righteousness and justice, in love and compassion. I will betroth you in faithfulness, and you will acknowledge the Lord.”
How beautiful and real is the love that Christ has for you.
You are loved. You matter. You are prayed for.
Enjoy your evening. Daniel and Michael join me in wishing you all a very Happy Valentine’s Day!
In His Love,
Pastor Sharon
