Blessings Family!
I’ve been praying for you. May God touch you, bless you, strengthen you, encourage you, heal you, deliver you, free you, protect you and answer you!
I’m concerned if every believer has been making use of the Word of God…
Have you been able to get through the entire Bible yet? If not, make it your plan and purpose to keep on reading the Bible till you’re done. And when you’re done, read it again and again and again.
I’m concerned if every believer has been making use of the weapons of prayer and worship…
I love my mornings with the Lord. They are my most precious times.
I want to share some ideas that can help you as you enter your quiet times with the Lord…
-Create your space. Find that chair, the window, the table, a special place to be truly alone with God. Open your blinds, draw back the curtain, and awaken your home.
-Color the air with amazing music. I’ve given you a link to a great song by Elevation Worship called, “Jehovah.”
-Read your Bible. You may want to read various portions or just from one. I like to read from different places and keep it moving forward.
-Pray over your body, spirit, and mind. Pray for your family, friends and enemies. Pray for our country, the things you’ve heard on the news and the nations around the world. Pray for the persecuted church, your local church, and your pastor!
-Pray over maps, photo albums, letters….
-Keep a jar of names of people you pray for labeled “Prayer Requests.” Pick one name every day and move it over to another jar labeled, “Prayed For.” Connect with the person you have prayed for that day!
-Journal those ideas, questions and answers that the Holy Spirit is leading you towards.
-Look over your sermon notes from the previous Sunday and ask that the Holy Spirit enable you to apply what you have learned.
-Drink something nourishing in the morning. I like to go through about three cups of green tea. When you are talking to the Lord for that long, you will be happy to have something to keep drinking!
-Watch that sun come up and the skies brighten. You can’t help but bless God the Creator!
-Go for a walk and talk to the Lord.
Mornings that are filled with prayer, the Word, movement, hydration and worship are bound to be really good mornings. Mornings that allow you to consider the needs of others deeply are bound to make you into a more empathetic person who is truly concerned about the needs of others. These are all good things. Let’s flow in the compassion that we have experienced from our Heavenly Father. Let’s function under the influence and power of the Holy Spirit.
