Hi Everyone,
May I offer some advice for your new school year?
In fact, this advice can be for you even if you aren’t in school.
Prayerfully consider each thought below:
1-Rest in Christ’s forgiveness.
Stop being restless within. You trusted Christ for salvation. Now trust Him for daily cleansing and move forward. Forget those things which are behind!
2-Don’t compare yourself to others.
This becomes very dangerous. You don’t need to look like anyone else. You, like everyone else, have been fearfully and wonderfully made. I pray that you will know this “full well” and will not be damaged in your thinking by trying to be like someone else. Don’t give in to any form of envy or covetousness.
3-Don’t think that how you are today is how things will always be.
Your life is still changing. You are continuing to grow daily. Enjoy today. Make the most of it. Be happy with what God is doing in your life at this moment and whatever He may be preparing you for in the future. Don’t get a “stuck” mentality that this is how things will always be. Who knows what tomorrow holds? So don’t worry about tomorrow. With the help of God, you will move forward in your education, your career, your personal life, your growth, your maturity, ministry, family, etc. The Word reminds us that a righteous man’s steps are ordered of the Lord. He’s guiding you too, young lady! God can help you through your coursework, dealing with the demands of your teachers and professors and granting you special wisdom. Trust Him.
4-Don’t walk around with a victim mentality.
You are more than a conqueror through Christ Jesus. You are not a wimp! Your Heavenly Father is God Almighty. Hold your head up high. No more slouching. Smile. Let the light of Jesus shine through you. Be filled with His Spirit and be a blessing to all those God puts in your path. Take off any heaviness and leave it all with Jesus.
I am praying for you. God cares about all the details of your life and He will see you through. Blessings to all of you in this fresh new school year! Visit us at church and let me know how your school year is going.
